Bounty Full - Take Advantage of your local Farmers' Market - a happy PSA by Thea McGinnis

If you are lucky enough to have a town or village Farmers' Market in your area during the warmer months, you are lucky enough. I hiked over on Saturday morning to one of the markets in my area and could barely control myself.

I bought freshly made cheese, crunchy bread, still sun-warm tomatoes, eggplants, preserves - the list goes on. I'm heading to the mountains soon and I plan to swing by before I go so I have the freshest and the best local produce to enjoy.

What is a Garden Club?

Do I Need to Know How to Garden?
No. You can learn through the educational and workshop programs presented by your club. . . and you can further enhance your learning by attending District meetings and NCAGC General Meetings. NCAGC also offers the opportunity to participate in its schools on landscape and floral design, gardening, and the environment.

When Do Clubs Meet?
Most clubs meet monthly. Some meet in the daytime, some in the evening, and a few meet during lunch. They meet in homes, community centers, schools, and other public places where facilities can be provided. The club determines the meeting time.
